The ST200, with its 215PS (on over boost), already has a foot up on the ST180. However, we were able to use what we had learned with the ST180 to improve on this truly impressive hot hatch even more. Twelve months of development including over 1000miles on track and over 12000miles of testing globally through the Revo Beta Test Program across various regions on a number of vehicles we carried out with the original Fiesta ST. Revo Stage 1 software for the ST200 offers smooth and progressive power delivery; this car eats the road up in a way you wouldn’t expect yet is just as comfortable popping to the shops and driving around town. Peak performance increases don’t tell the full story, the power and torque improvements can be felt throughout the whole rev range, improving driveability and throttle response.

Stage 2 Performance Software has been specifically developed to attain the best possible performance from the ST with a performance turbo back exhaust, high flow air intake and uprated intercooler. Stage 2 ties these components together to really turn the ST into something special, when used with the Revo SPS switch it allows Stage 2 software switched between a Stock mode and performance mode. Performance modes can be setup to suit 95ron, 97ron or 98/99ron fuel. As per Stage 1 there is also an Anti-Theft mode allowing the user to disable the car for security reasons. The Stage1 ST is impressive but with additional gains, all the way to the increased 7000 RPM rev limit, the Stage2 car is in a different league and is capable of showing up a lot of bigger machinery as our development testing showed at Spa and the Ring! We tend to be realistic with our quoted figures, these are quick little cars and it’s worth noting our Stage2 development vehicles were showing close to 250BHP on certain dynos.

The Revo Turbo upgrade for the Ford Fiesta ST is an unrivalled performance package. With power and torque offerings of up to 300BHP and 310LBFT, the 1.6 ST Revo Stage 3 oversteps its ‘pocket-rocket’ status as it moves into Mk2 Focus RS territory.

Manufactured and designed alongside our technical partners Turbo Technics, this upgrade goes beyond other available hybrid turbo solutions and features a completely re-designed compressor and bearing housing. The increased housing size allows for a larger custom billet compressor and the turbine wheel, and most importantly the bearing and shaft size. This allows us to offer a more reliable turbo solution with larger capacity and efficiency over other options utilising the standard compressor housing.

These improvements result in a dynamic package that offers incredible power delivery at high revs, while still maintaining driveability and boost response for ‘around town’ driving lower in the rev range. Revo Stage 3 Software has been specifically developed to work with the Revo Turbo Upgrade, offering greater power gains without compromising on the response.

Revo Stage 3 Software completes this ultimate upgrade, specifically developed to achieve the maximum performance from the Revo Turbo Upgrade and existing Stage 2 hardware upgrades. Stage 3 allows access to even more usable power all the way up to the 7000rpm rev limit, with added features such as left foot braking to give more control over the vehicle. Your Revo Dealer Technician will be able to personalise this Software depending on what fuel quality you prefer or have access to (97ron and 98/99ron). The Revo SPS switch can be used with this software to access Anti-Theft mode and a stock mode.

Revo’s technical partnership with Turbo Technics provided the opportunity to co-develop this package combining Turbo technics extensive turbocharger manufacture experience with Revo’s industry leading ECU calibration knowledge, with the aid of the manufacturers input and knowledge of the products capabilities we have been able to extract the maximum safe performance of the S242 Turbo without compromise.

With 6 months of exhaustive testing utilising our in-house development vehicles including daily driven road cars, and competitive track cars we were able to produce a package that is powerful, reliable and driveable. Development didn’t stop there, utilising our Global dealer network we have the ability to test products in conditions not found in the UK, further testing has taken place in regions of less favourable conditions to ensure the end result is suitable for our growing global markets.

Due to the complete turbocharger overhaul by Turbo Technics, we were able to not only create more power than ever before, we also didn’t have to run the turbocharger as hard to do so. This in turn not only means the new Turbo Technics turbocharger is more reliable, it also shows that it’s more efficient, which you can see on a dyno graph and feel on the road.

With the previous turbocharger, we weren’t able to hold onto the peak torque of +/-400Nm for very long, with the new Turbo Technics turbocharger you’re able to use the huge amount of mid-range torque to pull you out of a corner, and the flat peak power to propel you to the next.

During development, we saw huge peak numbers, but over time we’ve shaped the power curve to be exactly how we would like, without the expertise, support and expert knowledge from Turbo Technics, this is only something we could have dreamt of.

Performance testing was carried out on a private track in the UK with an ambient temperature of 21ºC. 2014 Ford Fiesta ST180 1.6 EcoBoost with manual transmission, Team dynamics 17” wheels with road tyres and 99RON Shell® vPower®. The average performance times are taken from 9 consecutive runs.

Stage 3 allows for even more gains all the way to 7200rpm rev limit, and with even more Fiesta STs being used on track, left foot braking has been enabled, which gives more control over the vehicles throttle.

Research and Development
Testing facilities at their UK Headquarters, as well as a track office at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Revo are able to test their products extensively on and off track. On-Road Testing
Testing on a dyno will only ever tell part of the story. Revo believes in data-logging on the road and racetrack as well as testing in controlled dyno conditions, to give you a clearer picture of the performance you can expect. This plays an important role in the Revo development process, ensuring the highest quality products that perform where and when it matters most.

Development Vehicles
Access to vehicles is imperative to development and testing.
